Window Cleaning: Before or After Pressure Washing?
After two or three wet Bellevue days, grit often settles in window tracks and along the lower panes. At Pro Care, Inc., our window cleaning team washes the surrounding exterior before touching the glass, so runoff doesn’t land on a freshly cleaned window. Drainage, siding angles, and nearby plants all affect the order of the job. It keeps us from doing the same pane twice.
Pressure Washing Comes Before the Glass
At one hillside home, a muddy line ran from the edge of a retaining wall straight onto two basement windows. While rinsing siding, walkways, and trim, we send loose soil, algae, cobwebs, and old debris down and away from the house. We start with pressure washing because water can ricochet off corners and leave mineral-heavy droplets on nearby glass. Better to clear that mess first.
- Runoff: Wash water and the grit floating in it are cleared before pane work starts.
- Debris: Sill channels get flushed out, since a gust can blow leftover particles right back onto clean glass.
Why We Clean Windows After Pressure Washing
Those faint drip marks under an overhang are easier to spot once the siding and trim are clean. We leave the glass for last. After the exterior rinsing stops, we work through residue and frame edges by hand, so pressure-washing splashback doesn’t dry into spots on the glass.
Our Final-Pass Approach
- Frames first: Remaining grit comes out of channels, corners, and seals.
- Pane detailing: Each glass surface is cleaned only after the nearby rinsing is done.
- Walk-through: Before loading up, we look over the sightlines with you.
Once the exterior work is done, our window cleaning team finishes the glass, inside or out, depending on what your visit calls for.
We Plan Exterior Care Around Bellevue Weather
In spring, yellow pollen can collect on one side of a house by midafternoon, while cedar needles and winter rain leave their own trail in other seasons. Through our exterior cleaning work, we clean the surfaces that send grime toward your windows rather than treating every task as unrelated. We’re proud to serve customers in Bellevue, WA, and surrounding areas. When a slope or downspout needs extra attention, we work from the top down and keep new splatter off the finished glass.
A west-facing window may look clean at noon but show water spots when the light changes later in the day. With Pro Care, Inc., your exterior can look finished from the curb to the view through every pane. We can talk through the best wash order for your property and discuss timing before the crew arrives. Contact us at (206) 227-5837 to get a free estimate.
