Bellevue Botanical Garden was established in 1992 by the Bellevue Botanical Garden Society. The area features 53 acres of cultivated display gardens, natural wetlands, and a forest. The mission of the Garden is to develop the bond between plants and people. This locality is a non-profit organization supported by membership dues, admissions, gifts, and grants. The property welcomes visitors throughout the year and provides various educational programs for all ages. This spot in Bellevue, Washington, is a beautiful spot to relax and appreciate nature’s splendor. There are numerous gardens to explore, each with its unique features.
Rill Plaza is a serene spot with a small waterfall and koi pond. The Rock Garden and Iris Rain Garden add a splash of color with blooming flowers and greenery. Waterwise Garden is perfect for those who want to learn about eco-friendly gardening, as it showcases drought-tolerant plants. The Ravine Experience will take you on a nature hike through a forested ravine with streams, while the Urban Meadow is perfect for a picnic lunch surrounded by wildflowers.

The Fuchsia Garden is filled with beautiful fuchsias, and the Shorts Ground Cover Garden is full of low-growing plants. The Perennial Border is overflowing with colorful blooms, and Tateuchi Loop Trail has stunning views of Lake Washington. Rhododendron Glen has over 200 rhododendrons, and Yao Garden has an authentic Japanese tea house. The Native Discovery Garden features native Northwest plants, and Lost Meadow Trail is great for birdwatching.
This site is a beautiful place to learn about plants and nature. They offer docent-led tours for both adults and youth, as well as private tours. You can also find classes and lectures on various topics, a plant collection search, and virtual resources. In addition, they have a variety of Youth & Children’s Programs, including the Living Lab Elementary Program, Kids in the Garden Preschool, and Youth & Children’s Workshops. Plus, there are plenty of webinars and lectures for adults too!
One of its most popular events is Garden D’Lights, during which the Garden illuminates with over half a million lights. In addition, local artists display and sell their work during Arts in the Garden, and live music performances are held throughout the gardens. This is a lovely place to visit all year round!

The Bellevue Arts Museum is a Pacific Northwest center for exploring contemporary visual art, craft, and design. Founded in 1975, the museum features rotating and permanent artwork exhibitions from regional and international artists. In addition to original sculptures and paintings, the facility also displays furniture, jewelry, and other decorative objects.
